Payton working on his music while I worked on some paperwork in the office this last week.
Gooniebirds had their friends over all last week. Here is Uma making a gooniebird face.
We had Elgin over, Tyler and his family, and at some point last week Jake had to ask if we had adopted Aiden because the kids was here for like 3 days straight. LOL
Sis is back to getting herself ready in the morning. Dressed, hair brushed, face washed, and teeth brushed before 8 am, all by herself.
Fox and I on our way last week to get his leg checked again. His record from the doc office in Oregon never came over, after 3 written faxed request, but no worries our doc office took care of everything.
Cast came off, and the smell was horrific. Fox however was excited to see how hairy his leg was and is now more convinced than ever that he someone day will look like Jake. LOL
Quick Xray to make sure everything is healing like it should. We probably will have one more of these this week in our 3rd and hopefully final office visit to put this leg fracture behind us.
Fox still limps a bit but some of that has to do with non use and he is just apprehensive to use his leg again. The leg also gets sore easily from lack of use over the past 6-7 weeks. Each day he seems to get better and walk better. Keeping him off the trampoline has been a chore. The doctor didn't say he couldn't go jump, but I thought it would be best to give the leg sometime before he went back to 100% normal activity… Including soccer!!!
Back to school night at Vista.
Uma already working on school work.
After back to school we headed out for some final school shopping and a fund raiser for soccer at Buffalo Wild Wings. Fox's leg was hurting so he got packed into the store and got carted around.
Had explaining a "Hadley joke" to Jake.
Uma is now the proud owner of my old iPhone and has started taking "selfless" and pics of her "cats"
Ollie Baba just sits there for her. He is a gooniecat.
Fox had another birthday party to attend this weekend. This one was at laser tag. Here he is trying to explain to me why he could eat another brownie if I just would let him. LOL… ummmm.. NO!
I would have been worried about the amount of sugar he was eating but I could see he had already got the end of the giant pixie stick wet and nothing was coming out. LOL
Payton put the cat in a taco bell box for a "kitty taco." Never a dull moment on a Saturday. We then cleaned the garage as a family. Hard work builds character, and we are trying to make room for additional storage in the garage.
Payton headed to the demolition derby with friends and the rest of us swam and watched movies at home.
Sunday was awesome mostly because we made it to church on time and some of us got a Sunday nap in. It was also the start of Shark Week on Discovery Channel of which we all enjoy.
Next weekend we will continue our garage cleaning and Sis and I are hoping to watch Little Mermaid while the boys head to see Ninja Turtles.
Payton has been asked to speak in church next week on the Holy Spirit.
First day of school!!!
Everyone is doing the "eyebrows." LOL
Fox loved seeing all his friends today.
Hadley has almost his entire "A" day with Aiden. He has some great friends in his class this year, except Hadley. She got placed in the am home room (oh no, bummer).
Payton is loving 8th grade and the fact that the entire 8th grade has the same lunch time. So he can hang out with all his friends, including the football team, Joe Joe, and James.
Today also meant the start of a new family lesson plan in the morning. This year we have decided to work though our family and marriage book combined with scriptures each morning.
Oobie and I celebrated with another mom the first day of school by going to lunch. We also ran errands and got some play doh. We then baked cookies for the new next door neighbor. Older ladies that had grandkids who visit often, so we are excited to get to know them. I got them all filled in on the trail info and was happy to see they both plan on attending Relief Society.
Traffic at Vista… I hope they figure this out soon! Our carpool doesn't start until next week but waiting in traffic for 45 mins is a bit much.
Payton is starting to rack up the battle wounds from football already and today was the first day of full pads. The schedule this year is 3 practices a week, with one being helmet only for conditioning. Payton would like to ride his bike to practice of which I would be ok with on some days, but the problem is, he just keeps popping tires!
Finally tonight's FHE was prayer rocks. We each made one, except Uma who made two. Uma collected the rocks today, Payton primed them, and we each painted one. The prayer rocks are to be place on pillows and as you take it off each night, it is a reminder to kneel and pray. If you forget, well, then you will probable hit your head on a rock as you lay down. LOL
Lesson was based on the following.
